SETTING CAPTIVES FREE

By Pastor Pam Sheppard of Pam Sheppard Ministry

So as to why i contacted you Pastor Pam, and to let you  know a bit about myself. I spent a good portion of last night watching Pastor Pam’s YouTube videos and was struck by many of the exposing statement about the kundalini being at work in the church and its ties to false signs and wonders. As well as having some connection to what you termed spirit rape….to back up a bit to start with what was my first touch or encounter with the Lord.

I was raised in a church and religion free home so i had no knowledge or concept of god really leading up to my conversion. But about 2 months before this encounter a man at my work told me that god loved me unconditionally and gave me a bible. I heard what he said but had no faith for…

My God, I believe in Thee;

do Thou strengthen my faith.

All my hopes are in Thee;

do Thou secure them.

I love Thee with my whole heart;

teach me to love Thee daily more and more.

I am sorry that I have offended Thee;

do Thou increase my sorrow.

I adore Thee as my first beginning.

I aspire after Thee as my last end.

I give Thee thanks as my constant Benefactor.

I call upon Thee as my sovereign Protector.

Vouchsafe,

O my God,

to conduct me by Thy wisdom,

to restrain me by Thy justice,

to conform me by Thy mercy,

and to defend me by Thy power.

To Thee I desire to consecrate all my thoughts,

words, actions, and sufferings;

that henceforward I may think of Thee,

speak of Thee,

willingly refer all my actions to Thy greater glory,

and suffer willingly whatever Thou shalt appoint.

Lord, I desire that in all things Thy will may be done;

because it is Thy will,

and in the manner that Thou willest.

I beg of Thee to enlighten my understanding,

to inflame my will,

to purify my body,

and to sanctify my soul.

Give me strength, O my God,

to expiate my offences,

to overcome temptations,

to subdue my passions,

and to acquire the virtues proper for my state.

Fill my heart with tender affection for Thy goodness,
hatred for my faults,
love for my neighbour,
and contempt of the world.

May Thy grace help me to be submissive to my superiors,
condescending to my inferiors,
faithful to my friends,
and charitable to my enemies.

Assist me to overcome sensuality by mortification,
avarice by alms-deeds,
anger by meekness,
and tepidity by devotion.

O my God, make my prudent in my undertakings,
courageous in dangers,
patient in afflictions,
and humble in prosperity.
Grant that I may be ever attentive at my prayers,
temperate at my meals,
diligent in my employments,
and constant in my resolutions.

Let my conscience be ever upright and pure,
my exterior modest,
my conversation edifying,
and my conduct steady.

Assist me, that I may continually labour to overcome nature,
to correspond with Thy grace,
to keep Thy commandments,
and to work out my salvation.

Discover to me, O my God,
the nothingness of this world,
the greatness of heaven,
the shortness of time,
and the length of eternity.

Grant that I may prepare for death,
that I may fear Thy judgments,
that I may escape hell,
and in the end, obtain heaven;
through the merits of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Growing in Grace

Some seasons of life are filled with exuberant jubilation; each day provides exciting opportunities and the Lord seems to grant every request. Then there are times where it feels like nothing goes right, prayers appear to go unanswered, and evil seems to prevail. The never-ending tsunami of bad news is suffocating, and time stands still in the situations you just want to escape. You feel as if you’re in cursed Narnia where it’s always winter but never Christmas. While such seasons are a part of life, if we’re not careful they can cause bitterness to take root (Heb. 12:15).

How can we fight frustration and keep bitterness from completely drowning out hope? One of the best antidotes is to revel in the beauty of the Lord. Taking time to notice his beauty as it is revealed in his Word and in creation reminds me of the power and majesty of…

For someone today

RUN

This is a day for you to run.

Don’t hold back, today you have been released to run.

There is nothing holding you back. You are free to run. Christ has set you free. The only thing that holds you back is you. You are free to run.

You start from the finished line. You start from the finished work of Christ. You start in the energy of Christ. You start in the power of Christ.

The faith of Christ has been planted into your heart. God is fully pursaded that all he has planted in you will accomplish it’s purpose.
Christ’s faith is your faith. Rest in his faith in you. You start in the faith of Christ.

You have nothing to fear. You are free to run. And Christ has already won the race. You win in Christ. You have won in Christ.

God…

Unbelief and fear will keep a person locked in a prison of spiritual, emotional, and financial poverty. Neither riches nor poverty are godly or ungodly in and of themselves. Many opinions and interpretations are being voiced in regards to wealth within the church, with people going to extremes on either side.

“Man judges on outward appearances, but God judges by the heart.”

A poor widow can give more than the wealthiest man in the room, but that does not mean that it is her poverty that makes her holy, but the faith she exercised by the amount that she gave in relation to what she had.

If you are poor or rich, what matters most is your faith, and the works that show your faith is real. In regards to money, a person that doesn’t give, proves they don’t believe. It is not a matter of 10%, and putting yourself…
